DIGIYATRI : THE LATEST PASSENGER IDENTIFICATION PROCESSING AT INDIAN AIRPORTS |Tripbeam

What exactly Digi Yatra” is ?

Well, under this program, a flyer would get a “DigiYatra ID” with   minimum personal detail shared like passenger’s name, mobile number, e-mail and details of any identity proof. This DigiYatra ID would be shared with the passenger during the time of ticket- booking and the concerned airline is supposed to share that DigiYatra ID with the concerned departure airport.

How does it works and what are the key features ?

  • It is a centralized way of passengers registration as each of them would be issued with a unique ID during the ticket booking.

  • Any valid ID proof can be considered for creating the DigiYatri ID.

  • Then, the airline you are flying with, would share the passenger’s ID with the concerned departure airport.

  • For automated check-ins and faster entrance, the passengers can link their Aadhaar Card.

  • A biometric digital processing would be introduced at the airports under this program.

  • If the passenger wish then, this biometric processing can be based on his facial recognition, totally dependable on their will and convenience.

  • This program would be implemented from February 2019 in all major Indian cities.

  • Passenger would be benefited by the genuine notification about the flight delays, congestion and also regarding their luggage at the airport’s claim belt.
