Ooty, a beautiful town located deep within the Nilagiri hills in the state of Tamil nadu (India). Some people refer to it as “Udhagamandalam” but is is popularly known as Ooty. It is a widely popular hill station that was established during the British reign in the early 19th century in India. Ooty had always been a favourite spot to different filmmakers.   • Emerald Lake:

  • Pykara lake and pykara falls:

This clear river falls down from two different heights creating beautiful pykara waterfalls and then flows down to form a spectacular pykara lake. A Boat house is located at the end of the lake making it an attraction for the tourists.

  • Stephen’s Church:

Stephen’s ChurchSt. Stephen’s Church was built in the early 19th century and its idea was stated by Stephen Rumbold, the then governor of madras and his idea was then carried forward by the bishop, John Turner. It is one of the oldest churches in Ooty. Here, one can gain happiness by developing peace of mind.

  • Doddabetta Peak:

Doddabetta PeakThis is the highest mountain peak located of about 10 kms from ooty. Whole of ooty can be viewed from this peak. This place is a major tourist attraction spot. It is widely covered with clouds and has dense forests around. This is considered to be the third highest peak in South India.

  • Ooty lake:


Ooty lake is located in the Nilgiris district, Tamil nadu. It covers a total area of 65 acres. Boating facility is available for the tourists. This artificial lake was built by John Sullivan in 1824. A small amusement park for kids is also located near the boat house. Every year boat races are organized at the lake that goes on for about two days. Apart from these places, Government Rose gardens, Avalanche lake, Tea Factory, Botanical Gardens, Mudumalai National Park, Toda huts, Wax world, Tribal museum etc, are some other places that one must pay a visit while staying in ooty; it awaits you.
